From Imagination to Reality

At The Layer Line, we believe every great idea is built layer by layer — with patience, intention, and a lot of creativity.

We’re a small 3D print studio based in rural Colorado, creating custom keychains, jewelry, gadgets, and small collectibles. From concept to final product, everything we sell is carefully printed and packaged in-house — and many pieces are either designed by us or thoughtfully selected from the work of other talented creators in the 3D printing community.

Our goal is to balance custom-made originality with the best the 3D printing world has to offer. We’re always curating fun, functional designs to bring into our lineup, and we’re steadily increasing the number of models we design ourselves. If it fits our style and feels exciting to make, we want it in the shop.

Who we are

Rebecca (that’s me!) runs our social media, branding, packaging, and finances — and I’ve taken on a kind of creative-director-meets-CEO role. I’m also stepping into the design side more and more. Layer by Layer isn’t just our tagline — it reflects my belief that no one builds anything alone. Like a print itself, every layer depends on the one below it.

Tyler, my husband and co-founder, handles operations. He runs the printers, manages the workspace, and does a lot of hands-on design and troubleshooting. He’s the engine that keeps our production running smoothly and sustainably.

Gene, Tyler’s cousin, our longtime friend, and our third co-founder, is currently stepping into a future CFO role and expanding his knowledge base with his bookkeeping studies. We’ve all known each other since childhood — horse camp, awkward middle school years, the whole thing.

🚂 Why We Print

At one point, we thought we’d open a restaurant — but after weighing the risks and thin margins, we pivoted. Tyler had already gotten attention for some prints from our latest printer, and we realized: this is what we’re passionate about. This is what’s scalable, creative, and fun.

We’re not here to mass-produce. We’re here to build a studio that blends functional printing, artistic expression, and a sense of play. Everything we make is small-batch, hands-on, and made with care — from the base layer to the final detail.

Layer by layer, your ideas take shape.

A woman with short blonde hair and yellow-tinted glasses sitting on grass with two children whose faces are covered with pink flower stickers. They are outdoors on a grassy area with a yellow fence in the background, and the children are wearing green.
A man dressed in medieval-style costume with brown scale-like armor, yellow fabric, and brown boots walking on grass. A young girl with a pink flower over her face, wearing a green dress with puffed sleeves and white lace at the hem, running or walking beside him. Trees and a crowd of people are in the background at an outdoor event.
A person with light skin, curly light brown hair, and a beard taking a mirror selfie. They are wearing a black, patterned shirt and have an earbud in their right ear. The person is holding a phone with a marbled blue and white case. They are in a room with a light yellow wall and a wooden door.
